Good - Octavo, bound paper-covered boards, illustrated with engraved frontispiece, vignette title page and 12 anatomical plates (of 13) engraved by W. Newman. New Edition with large Additions. Exceptionally rare, with only a handful of copies having appeared at auction in the last 80 years. The book runs to 178 pages and has a two-page index, with 12 plates (of 13) and the frontispiece portrait. The text and plates on sex, reproduction and pregnancy are all present. The images in the book are extraordinary; the gathering with page 133-36 is absent as is one plate. Undated, the Dedication is dated August 25, 1796. In fair condition, with some staining, but with an orginal and worn binding, which deserves repair! Please see photos as part of condition report
