With initials rubricated throughout in blue and red. 19th century with R shield (joints show signs of wear and some cracking, slightly rubbed). Title page. missing, included as a reprint. Front endpaper with ex-libris of the Redemptorists in Bishop-Eton. - Rare last incunabula edition of the work, which was printed many times before 1500 and was first published in Chivasso in 1486. The popular lexicon of moral theology by the Minorite Angelus de Clavasio (Antonio Carletti, 1411-1495) was condemned by Luther as "Summa plus quam diabolica" and publicly burned in 1520 along with the papal codes.
Old endpapers renewed. The first 160 and last 40 sheets. somewhat wormy and with a slight loss of letters (a little more pronounced at the beginning and end). Slightly browned and slightly stained in a few places. Overall, a well-preserved copy and unique due to the classification.
