Very Good - Engraved title-plate. Grose's History of the English Army was first published in 1786. This edition is combined with his Treatise on ancient armour and weapons which was first published in numbers shortly before the latter. Volume I includes two plates, at pages 358 and 381, which are not listed in the directions for binding. Volume II with a final leaf of publisher's advertisements. The Treatise has a separate frontispiece. 135 plates in total. Calf, neatly rebacked, internal foxing & spotting. A lovely copy. Please see photos as part of condition report
