Author Bio: Isaac Barrow (1630–1677) was an English theologian, classical scholar, and mathematician. Educated at Cambridge, he became the first Lucasian Professor of Mathematics, a chair later held by his pupil Isaac Newton. Barrow was also a prominent Anglican divine and was appointed Master of Trinity College, Cambridge, in 1672. His sermons and devotional writings were widely respected for their learning, clarity, and orthodox Anglican theology.
