Author Bio: Russell Conwell Hoban (February 4, 1925 – December 13, 2011) was an American expatriate writer. His works span many genres, including fantasy, science fiction, mainstream fiction, magical realism, poetry, and children's books. He lived in London from 1969 until his death.

Synopsis: This edition of Riddley Walker has been typeset in poliphilus and blado types at the Folio Society. The Illustrations have been reproduced by TAG International. It has been printed by Kosel, Krugzell, Germany on woodstock betulla paper and bound by them in Diuchesse offset cloth printed with a design by Quentin Blake. It is limited to 1000 copies, signed and numbered by the artist and 20 lettered copies which are not for sale. Postscript by Dr Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury. Riddley Walker is Russell Hoban s genre-defying masterpiece set in post-apocalyptic Kent, in an England in the grip of a second Iron Age, and written in 'Riddleyspeak' a fractured phonetic version of English. This limited edition combines the extraordinary text with large-scale illustrations by Quentin Blake.
