Author Bio: Michael Seymour Gerveys Sewell (30 July 1912 – 2 April 2000), usually now known by his religious name Brocard Sewell, was a British Carmelite friar and literary figure.

Synopsis: A scarce memorial volume dedicated to the Reverend Montague Summers, the writer and scholar of witchcraft, demonology, vampires, werewolves, Gothic literature, and Restoration drama. The book records the unveiling of Summers’s memorial stone at Richmond Cemetery on 26 November 1988 and includes Sewell’s “Montague Summers: An Anniversary Appraisal,” originally published in Lodestar.

Contents include: Introduction; The Unveiling; Dedicatory Prayer; In Memory of Wrenne Jarman; Montague Summers: An Anniversary Appraisal; List of Donors. Illustrated with a frontispiece photograph of the memorial stone and two further illustrations.
